It’s from the AP, so recognize that it’s automatically a partial truth, at best. They probably make ALL prisoners wear something stupid, which I would support. And ALL would include those who are suicidal. But that wouldn’t play on your sensibilities like making it sound as if they purposely pick on suicidal people.
Its called “punishment” for reason. Jail or Prison is supposed to be unpleasant.
Now if we are talking about folks who have only been accused, that’s different. For them, it should be like a cheap hotel with bars. Which is isn’t...
How can you even read the phrase when jailstyle is to wear your drawers dragging on the ground?
Suicide watches are not intended to be humiliating, the prisoner is stripped naked, the cell should be in the guards immediate line of sight and should have nothing in it the prisoner could hang with. Things may have changed, any corrections officers on here?
