Just playing skeptic again because someone has to... How would a man from another country filling out paperwork at a hospital while his son is being born, know about US protocol for racial classification?

In 1961 "African" was not a race standard per the practices that has been shown before on FR. I would expect that those standards were adhered to by the state of Hawaii who should have corrected Obama Sr. However, it is highly unlikely that a long form Hawaiian birth certificate exists for Obama.

You are still thinking analytically, not what a person from Africa would write in a field that just says “Race”. Does that field give instructions or a list of options? Would someone look over his shoulder in that situation and tell him what to write in there? Or, would he fill it out from what he thinks he should put based on his experience in Africa (Native African versus European on forms for example.)

I don’t know the answer, but from a skeptical thought, that should at least be a question.
