Great Americans !

Not only did he love baseball. He loved this country and was a wonderful American.

Yes, each had their favorite little signature expressions when announcing a game.

Harwell and Harry Caray combined to do the 1968 World Series (Tigers vs. Cards) on TV. That was back when the World Series network TV announcers were the regular local announcers for the respective teams.

Scully, about 82, is still going strong doing the Dodgers on TV in his 61st year with them. It's much tougher now on announcers what with the number of teams, the higher rate of player movement from team to team, and the numerous foreign names, but Scully hardly misses a beat.
