i grew up with John Wayne movies on the tube. My parents loved him.
My faves of are all but especially Searchers.
I know why (Hollywood is lib) but we need our kids to see movies like this. I also loved Jimmy Cagney in his patriotic movie Yankee Doodle Dandee!!!

I have seen it. It was a good movie and it showed the Duke had a sense of humor.
They dont make them like that anymore.

Randolf Scott was a wonderful cowboy star and one of my favorites but the Duke will always be number one!

My favorite John Wayne film is Big Jim McClain (1952) in which the Duke chases Soviet agents around Hawaii. Another that I like is The High and the Mighty (1954), a drama set in the skies over the Pacific.

Thank you, I remember enjoying that one.

Filmed in Marin County, Ca. at China Camp State Park. The wharf and other landmarks still exist, a nice field trip after watching my scratchy old VHS tape.

“The Searchers,” “She Wore a Yellow Ribbon,” and “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence.”
