"New kitties? Thats good. Names and pics?"

I could've sworn I posted pictures. I even remember doing the post. I'm guessing I must have gotten distracted before actually hitting "post." That was several days ago.

The kitties' names are Tigger and Kismet. Tigger showed up at Ron's when I was holding up there during the ice storm last winter. He was starving and injured and wouldn't let anyone near him, except he would come to eat. He was so defensive, we just assumed he was feral. I was actually surprised he survived. After the ice was gone and he was less hungry, he wanted in the house and he wanted to be petted, even though he was still very cautious. Then we figured that he had belonged to someone and had either been abandoned or lost. Ron's cats are declawed and he didn't want another cat in the house, so I told him I'd take him as long as he could be taught proper indoor manners. It took till June to get it all worked out, but I took him, got him neutered and brought him home. I figured if I was going to get another one, this would be the time to do it. I got on Petfinder and ended up adopting Kismet from the Siloam Springs shelter. He was a rescue kitty and was about 3 months old. These 2 are practically attached at the hip.

Tigger is the orange one and Kismet is the white one.

Sounds alot like Bobby White the manx outside my place.
We first saw her as she was eating stale saltines outside in the snow.
(That’s one hungry cat..)

She’s filled out now, but doesn’t get along well with other cats.

AWWWWWW!!! Such darlings and you are such a good person to take them in. We still have our 8 rescues.... oldest is 19. Plus 2-3 strays that we feed outside..... (we think strays, one looks like Tigger and might actually have a home but prefers our food). :0))

Aaaaw. How cute they are. Cute and looking very secure and confident that they have finally found a home.

One of my sisters, the one with the biggest menagerie, said a scruffy, homeless kitty alternated between her backdoor and her neigbor's at mealtimes. Both fed the little guy because he seemed so hungry and scared. One day he showed up wounded and limping. She took him to the vet, got him stitched up, tested for disease and vacinated then took him home and fed him. The next day he showed up, this time at the front door and immediately walked inside as soon as she opened the door. She said it seemed to her that he'd decided her house was where he was meant to be, that he knew he had at last found his home.
