Please reject those who reject Palin (vanity)

Posted on 10/09/2009 5:05:32 PM PDT by se_ohio_young_conservative

It appears our party has not learned its lesson.

First Chris Christie rejected Palin's help. and now it appears Bob McDonnell is doing the same thing. There are some very powerfull people in the GOP who are trying to pull things over on us. Sure, they may say all the right things. But open your eyes and pay close attention to what is happening.

I am calling on all Freepers in Virginia to vote against Chris Christie and Bob McDonnell.

this is our party. we have to send a strong message and hit the liberal GOP leadership right between the legs as far as I am concerned.

I don't care if you vote Deeds, Corzine, or vote independent. or don't vote at all.

but do not play along with these losers. Palin is the most independent minded politician in America. They use some internal poll numbers to advance the lie that she turns off independent voters. Look and study her history in Alaska. She owned independent voters because she is independent. She is one of the folks.

Don't believe the lies.

and we have to put a stop to this crap.

You’re really stretching your exaggeration too far.

Why don't you fill me in on where I'm stretching things...and please make your response from actual Bible passages.

I'll be waiting...

At some point you’re going to have to take a look at Luke 20:25.

But first I would like to know, when did you first begin to make this assertion, on this website, that Sarah Palin should not be a national leader based on your interpretation of the Bible?

Luke 20:25: And He said to them, “Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

What would be your point.

P.S.:

The Bible is very clear about the roles of leadership. It has been my point all along that Sarah Palin should only run for political office if there is no righteous Christian man left in this country.

This has nothing to do with Sarah Palin. I admire many of her political positions. It's simply a challenge to Christian men that we need to stop having Christian women fight the battles for us. We need to turn off the sports and turn to God.

That's true...I did write that.

And???

I was wrong in doing so. Yes, of all the Presidential candidates in the running, all of the men were doing what was right in their own eyes. However, there were righteous Christian men that could have run - and should have, instead of having a woman fight their battles for them.

The Bible teaches that the Palin's have some family issues that need to be worked on instead of putting any focus on politics right now.

This is not an attack on Sarah Palin. It's a challenge to Christian men.

You still don't really get it do you?
The elections in Virginia are not about Sarah Palin.
Its about Bob McDonnell and the other 2 Republicans beating Deeds and the Democrats. It's about handing Barak 0bama and the Democrats a stinging defeat. It's about firing shots across the bows of the Democrats in the congress, and sending them a warning, that if the vote for the evil 0bamacare bill, they stand every chance of losing their seats come 2010. It's about this total war against 0bama's evil agenda for this country.
Bob McDonnell doesn't have to bring anyone to come campaign for him if he doesn't find it necessary. The guy is comfortably ahead in the polls and coasting to a very solid win, why exactly would he bring Sarah Palin right now?
Like I said in the other post, this is a non issue. It's totally irrelevant. It's Politico and the Washington Post trying to get conservatives to stay at home so that Deeds can win.
And you have fallen for that trick hook line and sinker, and are busy pushing for conservatives to stay home so Deeds can win. That is nonsense. This is exactly why you were hammered in the other thread. It seems like you are pushing the agenda that the Washington Post/Politico t wants you to push.
Luckily, no one is falling that this ridiculous proposition of yours.

Correct.
Sarah Plain is not needed in Virginia for Bob McDonnell to win. End of story.
Even when Sarah Palin becomes president, no one would suggest she goes to Nancy Pelosi’s district in San Francisco to go campaign for Pelosi’s opponent would they?
You go where you are most effective, not where you are not going to have much of an effect on the final results of an election, or might even be a negative overall in the polls.
We need a thread like this, like a hole in the head.

I don't care if you vote Deeds, Corzine, or vote independent. or don't vote at all. Is Sarah Palin so delicate that she can't take a little rejection?

You know, every time I see something like this, someone trying to make an exception for Sarah Palin, I want to scream. You simply do not get it. You don't get the fact that we don't need someone treated with kid gloves. We don't need someone above criticism or snubs or above the rough and tumble. If she can't stand the heat, she's not strong enough for American politics.

So, which is it: Does she need special treatment? Is she too fragile to withstand criticism? Do other politicians owe her something special? Do they need to avoid hurting her feelings or your feelings by not inviting her to their campaigns? Do they owe her the exposure?

Or is she strong enough and smart enough to be President of the United States?

but do not play along with these losers. Palin is the most independent minded politician in America. They use some internal poll numbers to advance the lie that she turns off independent voters. Look and study her history in Alaska. She owned independent voters because she is independent. She is one of the folks.

You don't seem to believe what you wrote. If she's that popular and strong, why does she need special treatment?

Tell me: How many of the other potential candidates for 2012 were invited to campaign? Were you terribly offended when some of them weren't invited?

If you think this sort of stuff makes Sarah Palin look strong in the minds of other voters, you need to think again. I am unaware of anyone whinging because others weren't asked to campaign. Are you?

Politics is a rough business. Being the Leader of the Free World is a hard, thankless job. Can't take the rejection and hardship that it takes to get there? Then you don't deserve anyone's vote.

It doesn't say much about your opinion of her when you say she needs to be treated more politely, and with more deference. Politicians stab each other in the back all the time. It is part of the game. Live with it or step aside.

she doesn’t deserve to be rejected. or treated that way

But the others do? Why aren't you defending them?

Why? Why doesn't she "deserve" to be rejected or treated that way? How is she different from any other politician? Is she too weak to withstand the nastiness?

Life ain't a tea party and the entire rest of the known world will not defer to her or anyone else. She deserves to be treated exactly like every other politician. No better, no worse.

Is she's too fragile to take what the others take?

Do you think America's enemies will refrain from nastiness, rumors, rejection, and anything else it takes to knock our leader down?

Am I not allowed to change my position under your rules?

Aren't you so clever!
