I just had a conversation with my boss who said his wife is pregnant and was told by her OBGYN to get the vaccine. He claims Monroe county PA is loaded with cases and the hospitals are full of Swine flu patients.

I'm concerned that folks are getting flu shots "EVERY YEAR", especially the elderly. The problem is they still end up with the flu.

Are these flu shots really doing their job or is this annual event based on "fear".

We have a clinic in my town this week. The lines are filled with the elderly. I don't bvelieve we're getting real stats on how many of these immunized folks are coming down with the flu.

Just remember that a vaccination isn’t total immunization. It just reduces the likelihood of contracting the disease. Some vaccinations are very good, and convey near-total immunization, like polio, measles, smallpox etc, but even then, it is still possible though unlikely to get the disease.

We went in for our annual flu shots and asked about the Swine Flu vaccine. Our doctor's office is recommending it - but due to limits on the number of vaccines they will receive it will be rationed... Rationed? Where have I heard that before? Pregnant women and the elderly are first, kids in school are next and then everyone else.

I am dead set against the vaccine but my husband is really pushing for it...I don't want to expose us to whatever the government is trying to push...I'm going to send him this article.

I had my 5 year old at the Dr. this past Monday, as was told...

“Since you refuse to get him the regular flu shot, I would not recommend that you get him the H1N1 shot either”

Dr Chris & his whole practice as a whole, do not push unwanted shots on their patients.

I honestly HAVE TO WONDER how much is just straight BS HYPE - to scare the sheeple.

If you talk to someone who has had shingles you get it. I know a man who had them so many time he lost count. Everyone I know who has had shingles will tell how bad they are and once you have had them getting again it a strong possibility.

Everything the Air Force injected with me with made me sicker than hell........no way I will take this.

I rarely get sick and when I do a quick fever, 12 hours sleep and I'm back in action

I will have my almost 6 year old vaccinated for the flu next month. I will ask her Dr. about the Swine but to tell you the truth I am not going to get it and I don’t want my kids getting it either. I don’t trust it.

I think your boss is scared to death of the flu and wants everyone around him to get the shot, tell him to get some NAC (N-Acetyl-Cysteine) and Vitamin C and “Man Up”, you have to make your own call, I’m not getting a shot, no freakin’ way ...
