The newest James Bond novel, “Trigger Mortis” is set in the in the past.

Bond is assigned to protect the F1 British favorite from assassination during the Nürburgring race by a Russian Smersh killer. Bond ends up being trained to drive a Maserati entry. Not a bad description of the race action in the manner of Ian Fleming.

from wiki The book is set in 1957 against the backdrop of the Space Race, and begins two weeks after the events of Goldfinger.

that makes no sense, Goldfinger was not set in 1957, and if TM IS set in 57, that's 11 years before Craig was born so is this a time warp or what?
