A teenage girl who claimed 56 stars were tattooed on her face as she slept when she'd only asked for three has admitted she was awake the whole time - and lied because her father was 'furious'.
Belgian Kimberley Vlaminck said last week she woke up in horror to find her face covered in the stars of various sizes which spread out over the left-hand side of her head.
She went on to blame the Flemish-speaking tattooist for not being able to understand her French and English instructions.
Amid a frenzy of media attention, she then vowed to sue tattoo artist Rouslan Toumaniantz for the £9,000 she needs for laser surgery to have them removed.
She said after the tattooing: 'It is terrible for me. I cannot go out on to the street. I look like a freak.'
But the 18-year-old has finally confessed she did not fall asleep, that she wanted all the stars and was 'fully aware' of what Toumaniantz was doing.

I have so many friends who think that by getting the same type of tats in the same place that they are being original and non-conformist. I figure that I am oriinal and non-conformist by not having a tat, but I do have 2 holes in my earlobes and a belly-button ring.
I forget the rules as I've never had a pierced ear...left ear means your gay and right ear means you swing, or is it the other way around? (grin)
I believe this is what most Freepers were predicting when that story first came out.
I will never understand this repulsive obsession with permanently disfiguring self-mutilation.

Holy crap! That *IS* the tattoo-ist??! Here, I thought FReepers were plugging in an image of some goofball that they had in their files!

I heard a good rule for tats and peircings:
No tattoos where you can see them and no peircings where you can’t.
I will admit that the glasses on that guy are the most realistic tattoo I’ve ever seen.
