Homeschool is NOT always an option. Unless you are suggesting that families go on welfare so they can afford to stay home and teach their kids. Some families have only one parent. Some families have parents that need to work multiple jobs just to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table. Some families have a parent who is disabled. Some parents are undereducated themselves.

I was able to send my kids to a low-tuition Catholic school, but homeschooling would never have been possible. We needed two, sometimes three paychecks to survive. And that was in the days of one car, no cable tv, no cell phones, no luxuries of any kind to give up.

Cool - sounds great.

My kids will have a good education, in our little refrigerator box down by the river as we eat out of dumpsters.
