In a move to take advantage of the ending of the Westwoods Bill O'Reilly Show, Talk Radio Network is planning on establishing a pre-feed of the Michael Savage Show from 12-3pm ET, a move that puts Savage up head-to-head against Rush Limbaugh. Talk Radio Network CEO Mark Masters says Besides being ranked as the third largest syndicated talk show in the U.S., Savage has the unique distinction of being the only nationally syndicated male talk radio show host to have proven to equal Rush Limbaugh in that unique ability to create giant numbers
The news of the Savage Nation pre-feed comes as Savage recently inked a contract extension with TRN to syndicate his show.
Yeah, Savage never signed on to "Operation Chaos".
Neither did I.
‘Savage needs to start working on his excuse as to why a 12-3 airing of his show failed. Im sure hell blame the stations or the media.’
Same view here. I get enough whining from Glen Beck, I can’t take more than one whiner a day, so I skipped Savage.
Beck or Savage are #3 depending on the way you interpret the numbers. I would guess a pre-feed of Savage is a rerun of yesterdays show.
I listen to both, but for a while before the general election season I listened to Savage more b/c Rush (and Hannity for that matter) were getting kind of blahh and kool-aid drinkingish for Bush. When McLame named Palin and Savage trashed her, I stopped listening to Savage regularly.
As for Beck, he’s been a bit too melodramatic for me lately. BTW, I saw on another thread that for his first Fox show he will be interviewing Obama?? Is that true???
Also, another variable in all this is Fox Radio is moving John Gibson to 12-3 ET in the next week or two. So to me it looks like from 12-3 ET:
Premiere: Rush
Westwood: Thompson
Fox: Gibson
Talk Radio: Savage
That’s a tough lineup to decide upon. I’m sure Rush will win hands down. I really like Gibson though, his show is quite entertaining.
Unless he takes his meds Weiner's whole life is a chaotic operation. Those who actually believe he's a conservative (and not any embarrassment to the conservative movement), need to pray for discernment.
I stopped listening to Savage after he made a big donation to left-liberal Democrat Jerry Brown, aka Governor Moonbeam, in his campaign for California state attorney general in 2006. Rush, who is a true conservative and not a put-on, will squash Savage.
Target demo. Think Savage is overall listeners #3, Beck at #5 I think last one I saw.
I think pre-feed means yesterday’s program. This is meant to get into empty O’Relly slots before Rush or anyone else does
And Boortz aw well
Probably right, otherwise Savage would have to do a 9-noon
live shift from his San Fran base.
Probably right, otherwise Savage would have to do a 9-noon
live shift from his San Fran base.........
Right and why would he do that because many stations have him on live 3-6 Pacific time. Savage won’t go live against Rush. It is suicidal. He will just try to pick up some Bill O’Reilly action with his canned broadcasts which will come cheap
Ditto. No pun intended.
Me too. I try to listen to any conservative I can.
If you want venom, screaming, poor analysis, and pure spite, there is always Air America.
I applaude you for speaking your mind (see my tagline) and saying what us SAVAGE fans already know about SAVAGE....and.....for exposing rush for what he is, anyone who has listened to rush for more than a half hour knows that his ego is massive, it is not cute and cuddly or “just rush” and yes he is an elitest who cannot relate to what you or I are going through.....the recession/depression will not affect him, he will still be playing golf, flying off to washington, still ordering his allen brother steaks and smoking his expense cigars, the rest of us will have to scrimp and save and eat mac and cheese and hotdogs! What are the chances of rush getting laid off?
He got dumped here to for Levin.
Could it be because Savage is getting his can kicked by Mark Levin since his show is in the evening the same time as Levin?
This is a month late, but I agree with you. Savage is on target with what he ways. He isn’t a mouth piece for anyone, he is a true conservative. Savage has lived a real life, he isn’t some elitist, even though he is a success. That speaks to the character of who he is. He is married and has raised children. Maybe that’s why he can put his money where his mouth is. He ain’t no mouth piece, he is real!
