Whenever called on to feed her two hungry teenagers and their friends, Nancy Beaule knew she could count on pizza and lasagna.
In fact, those dishes were so dependable -- and so often was she called on to make them -- Beaule started wondering what would happen if she combined those two staples of American-Italian cuisine.

No ricotta?
No ricotta?
The cottage cheese substitutes for the ricotta. It has a nearly identical flavor but is a lot cheaper, and since the recipe is for baking, not frying, you can get away with it. It also provides a lot of volume to the lasagna, making it fluffier.
Well, I got two of the Target pizzas — a Mediterranian vegetable and a classic Solerno style. I had the veggie last night and it was very good. Thin crust style, very high quality. These were on special 2 for $9. Worth trying out if you happen to be in that part of town, I’d say. Be aware that the handmade Italian ones are marked as such. There were some other Archer Farm pizzas there that were made elsewhere (the thick crust ones).
I don’t know, but I totally want it.
I’ll take note of that. As I said, it’s down the road from the wife’s store so not all that inconvenient. Just extra driving when grocery shopping. And Target’s not a place we usually frequent. But I’m going to note the brand and packaging info. Thanks for the update! I’m definitely noting that down...
Well that’s a great deal at $1.25 then. The only way a place could have them that cheap is if they deal in overstocks and scratch & dent lots — kind of like a Big Lots for food. What is the name of the store?

Pissagna?
I did not know about Todd-AO and that's strange but I just watched TV and movies and didn't study the ‘formats’. I ‘investigate’ different things than you do, lol.
Panorama, Cinerama, forgot some of the names - AND how to spell them too.
EEEEwwww, you just turned me off the Pizza-lasagna.
Actually, LaPissagna sounds like a nice name for a ghetto sis, you know what I’m talking about?! LaPissagna Washington.
