No, he’s not a terror but he’s got a problem. When you get stopped, if you have a clean record you’ll probably just get a warning. The cop looked up the husband’s record, saw the six previous tickets and who knows how many warnings and other infractions, and decided the was a chronic speeder and might be lying.

6 tickets in 20 years means the guy’s been speeding a lot but only got ticketed six times. That will do bad things to your insurance rates. IIRC it takes six or seven years to completely erase the points for each ticket. The guy is probably paying double for insurance.
