No matter the training or the stories about professionalism policies put out by the public agencies, the real fact is there will always be a segment of the police forces who insist on “sleeping with their badges on.”

No, he’s not a terror but he’s got a problem. When you get stopped, if you have a clean record you’ll probably just get a warning. The cop looked up the husband’s record, saw the six previous tickets and who knows how many warnings and other infractions, and decided the was a chronic speeder and might be lying.

6 tickets in 20 years means the guy’s been speeding a lot but only got ticketed six times. That will do bad things to your insurance rates. IIRC it takes six or seven years to completely erase the points for each ticket. The guy is probably paying double for insurance.

In such a heavy liberal area she could have avoided the ticket from the union employee. Even received police and fire department escorts.

She should have said she was on her way to an abortion clinic.

the parents did some stupid things here.

but speaking as a cop, i would have given them an escort. but let's not fool ourselves that the child or mother were ever in any real danger medically.
