I Am An Idiot Freeper and I Believe the Media Lies
October 12 2008 | jveritas

Posted on 10/12/2008 8:07:27 AM PDT by jveritas

It is very sad the number of people on this forum who fell for the lies of the liberal media and consider it as the golden truth. They believe their biased polls, they believe all the fabricated doom and gloom scenarios that the media unleash each minute, they now believe the lies that McCain is fighting with Palin over the style of campaigning, they believe that is all over and we cannot win.

Yet those are the same people who make fun for what they like to call “sheeple” and say that they are controlled by the media but in reality they are worse than any “sheeple” because they fall for all the lies and fabrication that the media spew constantly.

They are the one who lecture Republicans to get a spine or balls or whatever macho word they like to use in each comment they post but yet they have already surrendered and declared all is lost and we cannot win.

For the vast majority of us Freepers we are going to fight and we are going to win and will never believe the lies and fabrications of the media.

I have viewed the Media as communists for at least the last 30 years a propaganda tool ever since they got the signal from Brezhnev[Sp] with the pounding of the shoe [we will take America over without firing a shot ] code speak for every communist to go to work in schools colleges and newsrooms all across the US to start the great propaganda machine !

The Polls like comatose eyes are fixed and dilated on one thing Destroying our country and our way of life our so called Representatives have created just the lazy society they wanted in order to control those who think just being born American is enough to make them entitled to a share of freebies for a lifetime without ever having to lift a finger to do a legitimate days work in their lives..

fighting is all we have left the simple task of voting to change our future and the future of our children is being stolen by those same communist fair-do-wells who not only represent us but who aspire to be rulers of a new society filled with middle class slaves to greedy ambition of the haves and have nots creating programs to keep the poor supposedly in their place and to keep the rich abundantly richer while us middle class folks do the actual work in this country to keep both the poor and the rich propped up on their prospective pedestals

What would happen to both classes if the middle class just decided to stop providing and just started whining the the like rest ?

I'm with you all the way I'm tired of looking at both of these candidates and seeing / hearing the same thing explained in two different manners to the same Objective Socialism/Communism these principles do not mix with freedom they make it a vast expanse far and unreachable from the common man !

The FOX news channel is not the friend to conservatives that I once thought they were. They have disappointed me alot in the last few years, I can hardly stand to watch it.

Many people here do not understand the difference between the mainstream media polls and the "internal" polling commissioned by a campaign.

Unlike those internal polls, the mainstream polls have an agenda, which is to sway the populace to a desired outcome. I do not think any reasonable person could argue that the mainstream media has a liberal bias and would like to see the Democratic ticket win in any presidential campaign.

Therefore, the mainstream polling will reflect that. Methodologies will be adjusted to achieve the desired outcome. If registered voters need to be chosen over likely voters to better reflect the desired outcome, it will happen. If Democrats need to be oversampled to achieve the desired outcome, so be it.

In this manner, the MSM hopes to "shift" most of the undecided in their favor. They understand that many of the undecided want to "vote for the winner" so they make sure that their guy is seen as a winner so that they can hopefully make their wish a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Now these polling companies do need to have some credibility so that they can be taken seriously in the next election cycle. So in the days leading up to Election Day, you always see a "surge" with the GOP candidate. But that surge is manufactured. It is simply a function of the MSM polls adjusting their methodologies to reflect the true state of the race. As I said before, the MSM is hoping that they shifted enough votes over to their side with the earlier skewed polls to make the difference.

So when the mainstream media see conservatives getting angry over the polls, they are literally squealing with delight. For not only are they shifting votes their way but they are angering conservatives so much that many of them might just throw in the towel and stay home on Election Day, thinking that their cause is lost.

On the other hand, the "internal" polling is reflecting the true state of the race. It is vital for a candidate to have accurate polls because those polls will determine where they spend their limited resources and where they spend those resources will make all the difference whether they can win or not.

So I have always stated that if you want to know what a candidate's internal polls are saying, look at where the candidate is campaigning. Recently, McCain and Palin have been campaigning in places like Minnesota and Wisconsin where the MSM have already determined that Obama has it wrapped up.

In conclusion, hasn't anybody ever wondered why a national presidential campaign would need to spend money on "internal" polling? It is because they know that the MSM polls are not accurate. Otherwise, they wouldn't need internal polling at all because the MSM is hitting us with polling data every single day. The only problem is, none of it is accurate so the candidates need to do their own polling to see where things really stand.

And I've been around since 1999 as a member and I am not a troll.

This election cycle has brought me out of lurking status due to the serious consequences of this election.

Yes, another day, another vanity. It is beginning to appear that anyone on FR that is not relentlessly cheerleading for McCain is considered a defeatist or whiner or loser or any other number of choice names. Sad really.

“I believe the media lies” has two meanings.

1. I belive the media DOES LIE or
2. The media lies, AND I believe their lies

McCain sometimes is sending out messages of having thrown in the towel. When people see all this reaching across and niceness they start to feel it symbolically. The “campaign” provides insight as to the type of leader a person might be. Similar to the mixed message phrase “I believe the media lies” he is sending out mixed messages when he praises Obama and has mentioned having Cuomo, Gore, Buffet in his cabinet and floated Lieberman as VP choice. Either he is just saying this and is insincere, or he means it and YIKES. Has he mentioned any conservatives or Republicans he would include?

Your neighbors may be like mine. They intend on voting for the illegal alien, loving Juan but will be damned if they’ll advertise because they aren’t proud of it.

Sad, but not surprising. We are subjected to the liberal media 24/7, even on FR most of the articles are from the liberal media. Some of it is bound to rub off.

“It’s a market-driven situation.”

No it’s not. It’s political and agenda driven.

If newspapers were in the business to please the market, you would see fair reporting. You would see editors and managers trying to attract conservative consumers. You don’t. The media is the one business where it’s consumer be damned.

Need proof? Check out the advertising revenue, look at the viewership and circulation numbers. The propaganda press is bleeding money and readership all over America.

The political polsters are connected to the hip with the Marxist media. They are as biased as the media. Where do you think they make their money? From the left wing press.

Nobody in their right mind goes to Rasmussen or Gallup for marketing or business research. That’s because they’re political entities. Paid for by the left wing press.

And if these polling companies are “market-driven” as you claim, why isn’t the McCain campaign using them for its polling data?

Swiss said: "I didn’t see any McCain signs."

Except your own? Or are you discouraged by your own lack of a political sign?

I don't have a sign up yet because I am going to wait until I can guard it so as to identify anybody who dares deface it. Somebody came onto my property in 2004 and defaced my sign. It's not going to happen again without consequences for the thugs.

As a long time FReeper I’m having a really hard time swallowing all the bilge coming out of Washington.

The dems CAUSED the economic meltdown and the Republicans are whimpering in a corner sucking their thumbs instead of shouting this from the rooftops - REGARDLES OF MSM SPIN!!!

I turned on Georgie’s show (ABC) and here’s Bawny Fwank. I couldn’t bear listening to one word of the crap he spews! Bawny IS the problem. He and his sorry ilk CAUSED this meltdown - forcing lenders to make shaky loans to people who didn’t qualify for credit.

They must have trouble walking with those amazing _____s hanging. I’m FED UP with all the dog and pony shows. FED UP waiting for the system to correct. FED UP with Republicans making sweet talk while Obama, Inc, preen and strut. I’m FED UP with the “system” and ignorant voters. IMO this country is gone if Obama wins this election. GONE.

I WANT A WAR. AN IDEALISTIC WAR OF RIGHT VS WRONG! I WANT US TO WIN BEFORE OUR BELOVED COUNTRY TURNS INTO A SWIRLING PIT OF LEECHES, SUCKING THE PRODUCERS DRY.

America should have a law: You must pass an IQ test before you can vote. And ANYONE getting government aid is banned from the ballot box. PERIOD.

“Who is John Galt?”
