This is the biggest flaw in Franconas managerial style, loyalty to veterans who are not getting the job done.Drives my husband and me nuts as well. I half-expected to see Lugo back in the post-season... hope he's gone next year.
Chad Bradford now up...

Dude better not make a mistake to J.D. ...
He’ll lose the ball if he does.

I am calling for some BoSox runs, if not a Grand Slam here!

He did make a mistake over the plate at 87 mph and Drew swung through it. Now it’s strike 3 and the chance is gone.

That look low to be a strike.
To: yield 2 the right
J.D. just got ripped off.
That pitch was nowhere near the strike zone.

Tampa Bay Bucs fans also going wild......

The call was for the swing, not the pitch.

Tracker shows that 3rd strike to be off the plate by 3 to 4 inches.

Need to hole the Rays here. Last three outs are tough.
Sox not done until the Rays can record those last three.

In close games like this you cannot make stupid mistakes and if you leave guys on base because you cannot get a hit when you need it then you deserve to lose. Pedroia missed his pitch, Ortiz frankly belongs on the bench and Drew misses a hanging slider at 87 mph with the bases loaded.
That means Bay, Kotsay and Tek (PH likely) in the bottom of the 9th followed by Cora. I don’t like our chances.
Hey, I figured that the injuries to Lowell and Ortiz would catch up at some point and tonight they did.
