FYI, Fat Teddy did indeed go to the hospital last night in Cape Cod yesterday due to a seizure brought about by a change in medication. He was also discharged last night and is back at home. Yesterday’s thread on the subject had approximately 1/3 of its postings deleted and the mod threatened suspension to inappropriate posters.

I did not watch or listen to the debate, because I cannot stand to look at the one you mention (the Arab descendant whose ancestors were slave owners in Africa), nor can I stand to hear his voice. I am assuming that our heard this in the debate. You are correct that the war on terror did not start on 10/7/2001. Actually, it started when Iran took our citizens hostage under Carter. It has metastasized since. The first attack on America's soil was with the attack on the World Trade Center in Feb. 1993, when Clinton was at the helm and treated it as a law enforcement action instead of an act of war because clinton was too ignorant to know what was going on.

9/11/2001 was just the most visible attack in the war. October 7, 2001 was our first SERIOUS response to the War on Terror with Islamic Savages.

Anyway...Obama misses the point that the war on terrorism began with the consent and will of the vast majority of the American people if not the civilized world. The tiny, yet extremely annoying sliver of anti-war activists who still oppose it still have their heads up their asses right there along with Barack Obama as long as he insists that the war did not begin on September 11, 2001. By making the assertion that the war had not begun until military actions were undertaken in Afghanistan, he precludes the will of the MAJORITY of the American people.

This is exactly what happened to my neighbor, Joe (RIP). He’d had a cancer that hovered for two years at Stage 2 and it eventually spread, forming Stage 4 tumors in his brain. He suffered a seizure at home and within 6 months he was unable to leave home but for a few treatments at the hospital which for the most part, were in vain. Within 10 months of that first seizure, he was gone.
