It has about 48 hours before it heads into heavy shear and that could last for a while....Shear is our friend....

Oh dude, don't shoot it down, I have been through so many, I have started liking hurricanes. I get a few days off work, I get to play with my toys, (generator, chain saw, camping gear, etc.)

Then I have to get out the 12 ga and oil her up. Pitch the tent in the backyard because its to hot to sleep indoors. Fire up the barbe because, well I have a generator, but the neighbors don't, so their defrosting freezer is full of beef :-) Then come the troops with free MRE's! Yum. I miss hurricanes!

Years back we were out of power for 18 hours. Cutting downed trees with the chain saw, clearing the yard, etc and coming into a hot humid house I said never again.

Got a 5Kw from Lowes the next time they went on sale and a window A/C in the off season. Figured out the power loads for what I wanted to run, Fridge, TV center, A/C, lights and of course the computer. Got plenty of drop cords and now run the generator about 15 minutes in the spring and fall. Don’t keep gas in it so the carb stays clean.

Just waiting now. :-)

It is no longer showing on the Mariners' 1-2-3 Rule chart but the National Huricane Center is still shopwing it as medium potential for tropical cyclone formation.
