I think I will skip this explanation in SS class and kind of hang with soul for now. My kids have a hard time wrapping their heads around differences between symbolic and literal in some verses, this would hurt.
understandable, but don’t sell them short. I had this age group at one time as well and taught them about the difference once I understood it. They caught on rather well.
