Heh... I went to bed by midnight I think, but about 6 AM woke to tornado-like winds and fairly warm conditions (in the 50s I think). :’D

They were wrong.

Their world ended a long time ago.

Hey, if there is no big UFO in the sky, with beams streaming out and killing all the non-black people, I don’t worry too much about what Calypso Louie sez. :L)

So I'm going to spend most of my patrimony in the next four years on wine, women, and song.
Oh yeah, a real change of plans. ;')

I would say 2012 is the beginning of the end, if either. Did you hear about Sir Isaac’s Newton’s letter on the end times? It turned up in an Israeli museum last summer. Written in 1704, it predicted that Israel would be restored as a nation before the end, and that the end times would begin in 2060 (1,260 years after the coronation of Charlemagne). When I heard about the letter, I said, “Sir Isaac Newton was one of us!” We tend to think that as a movement, Christian Zionists only got started in the twentieth century, but here we have one at the beginning of the eighteenth.

Coast-to-Coast host George Noory had promised that would be his last show...I haven’t listened to his show in a while though...

You haven't missed much, unless you need to catch up on the Troofers' latest theories.

Is 2012 the beginning of the end or the actual end?

I guess that would depend on if they were using calendar days or business days. If calculated correctly May 12, 2007 hasn't really arrived yet. The Mayans might have used that same method to confuse the people.

Well, it is sorta a change of plans. Previously, I’d budgeted to run out of money based on my life expectancy of five more years.

So if the world doesn’t end as promised, I’ll be a pauper for a year. I’m counting on my friends I’ve made online (hint hint)to take me in and provide for my modest needs (eg. beautiful companion(s)(prefer two in their twenties but will accept a great thirty)Johnny Walker Black and front row tickets to concerts of my choice. I’ll beg for food.

Wait!! I thought we only had ten years before Earth melts!! Now we only have five? My boat won’t be ready!!

And we'll run out of oil reserves in fifteen. Why can't they get these things all together?

I had been under the impression that it was supposed to represent the end of an era or a new change. Not necessarily an actual apocalypse

When George Noory hired onto Coast he said he intended to stay through the 12 Dec 2012 Apocalypse. This is old news, was old news five years ago.

the end of an era

The sky has been interesting this fall. Right now the moon and Mars are in conjuction, full moon, and both the moon and Mars will not set but will go all the way around and will be up at noon and visible if the sky is clear. While we are enlightened and supposedly don't take these things as omens anymore, we have to recognize that others do and we have to adjust our foreign policy to that. We must be able to read the sky if only because others do.

Yesterday late afternoon I was driving east. I thought it looked interesting to be driving toward the full moon, while I could see the sun starting to set in my review mirror. It was picture worthy.

Here the sun rises only a couple degrees for a couple hours then it is gone again but the full moon stays up all day.
