Here, let me pop another cork

Say what Trader Joe specials have you found to be good deals?

We’ve just about finished off all the Night Owl 2004 Shiraz and started on the Rosemount Shiraz.

These were both less than $5/bottle wines competing with $20 in quality. (The Night Owl if kept for another 20 probably would fetch $100/bottle, nice runs, few people heard of it,..but they’re all out of stock now, I believe.)

TJs might have 100 bottles of $5 minus priced wines, but many are last shipping container values with some $3/bottle wines with $20 value.

What your best finds?

Not sure if Trader Joe’s carries it, but Crane Lake is great as table wine or for every day use. Sometimes you can get it for 4 bucks a bottle and IMO it compares to some $20 quality wine

A good, reasonable wine is the Folie a Deaux Menage a Trois red which goes for about $7.00 a bottle. I had a Sebastiani Merlot, Sonoma County 2002 that was absolutely wonderful, but pricier. Rex Goliath Merlot or Cab Sauv is good. Cline Red Truck is nice, also. Trinchero is usully very good no matter what varietal you go for.
