Keith Richards: Today’s Drugs Are Rubbish
Undercover News ^ | September 21 2006 | Daniel Zugna

Keith Richards has claimed that he no longer takes drugs – because their quality just isn’t what it used to be.

The surprise revelation comes from the world’s most infamous drug fiend, who was addicted to heroin for most of the 1970s. He told Q Magazine, “I really think the quality's gone down. All they do is try and take the high out of everything.”

And Richards is not a fan of synthetic party drugs, explaining with teary-eyed nostalgia, “I don't like the way they're working on the brain area instead of just through the blood system.”

He went on, “That's why I don't take them any more. And you're talking to a person who knows his drugs.”

Richards did however admit to indulging in the therapeutic benefits of morphine after his recent run in with gravity and a palm tree in Fiji. “I've had a couple of weeks on morphine,” he said. “I did try to squeeze the little bit extra out of the night nurse. She was very accommodating.”

Killed his brain cell as well obviously. He already looks pickled.

I wonder how many pounds of drugs he's done and gallons of Jack Daniels he's drank...probably enough to have bought a small country.

In Keith's case, that's probably true.

Considering how the Rolling Stones are unable to push out classic, memorable songs any longer, I suggest Keith doesn't have much of a brain left.

"So boomers have become cranky old farts"

I keep trying to point out, earlier generations created the 60s, not the boomers.

Keith Richards is not a "baby boomer".

Sure, Keith, it's the drugs that are weak. Having a fried brain and a tolerance the size of Texas wouldn't have anything to do with it.

This moron should have bought the farm 3 decades ago.

The old saying...when a nuke destroys the Earth, only cockroaches and Richards will survive the impact.
