Vanity: Anybody watching Shep's interview on Special Report?
Posted on 08/16/2006 3:41:26 PM PDT by slowhand520
Is anybody watching Special Report right now? Brit is playing a clip of a Sheppard Smith interview with the President of Lebanon Emille Lahoud. I must say I am rather surprised that Sheppard Smith is hitting the Lebanese president hard (even cutting him off) for defending Hezbollah. Lahoud accused Israel of killing babies and Shep responded with a "so is Hezbollah". I guess Freeping the crap out of someone works

Yeh. That tidbit showed up in one of the posts on the Sunday Morning thread 2 Sundays ago.
Supposedly, GJ had requested SS be assigned elsewhere. He showed up in studio for a day or two over that weekend. He did show up again in the field a couple of days later.

They will be freed after they apologize publicly for filming Hamas members without their ski musks.

Why did JG request Shemp get sent back to the studio?
I didn't read/hear anything official from FoxNews, but an FR poster said it was because GJ thought SS was endangering/interfering with her relationship with her local (ME) news sources.

She wanted to live. Atleast she didn't have to give him oral like Mike Wallace had to do to Ahmonjihad.

Rush Limbaugh made the most excellent point relating to the whole issue of the relationship between Lebanon and Hezbolah.
Just like Afghanistan, terrorist (Hezbollah) came into Lebanon with profits from Iran's oil money and set up a nanny state to gain influence like we have with welfare today.
So Hezbollay build for them, funds them and pays for their life.
Taking that into consideration, to hear Lebanon go against Hezbollah would be like seeing them shoot their welfare provider.
Their dependence on soft unearned money has led to acceptance of Hezbollah.
Now at least we have Hezbollah and Iran having to use some of their blood money to again pay off Lebanon and rebuild rather than using it on more murder (for the moment).
Once the PC war becomes a real war between Lebanon and Israel, then you will IMO see the beginning of real change.

Yes, he reacted from the heart during Katrina, he was young and grew old fast during that time. I said he would be forever changed after Katrina, and he is. He has not given the terrorists an inch during this whole thing. I'm glad people finally noticed there is substance to Shep. Last night, when he was talking about Hezbollah doing Charity work he annunciated the word "political" between sentences so as not to give them any slack.

numerous times since the cedar revolution, that pro-syrian stooge has been told to get the hell out. When his term is over, he's out on his ass. Hezbollah alone doesn't have enough votes to keep him in office.

I'm wondering the same. None of the FOX people should be too sympathetic to any of the terror groups about now.

I just saw it and I'm speechless. That was a fantastic interview.

Did you believe what the Leb. Pres. said about not knowing what Hezbollah was up to, and that he liked it that way because that was why they were so effective? He has no control whatsoever over the largest military force in his own country, and he's perfectly fine with that.

Is it acceptable to say F Lebanon yet?
If they want to live free of the Islamic scum or orders from Iran and Syria, theya re going to have to fight for it.
Clearly they are not hungry enough to survive.
