That's what I'm thinking too. And the actor's seem to be doing their best to alienate the ticket-buying audience.

I think it must be.

I turned on a Phoenix station last night and they were bragging about giving away 50 tickets to Da Vinci Code. Is that what the theaters have to do to get people to go to this movie?

I read the book. except for the first and last 50 pages, the rest of the piece (300+ pages) is as dull as watching paint dry, and its no surprise to me that critics don't like it. i dont see how they could make it remotely interesting without departing from the original story quite often.
