Gabbie is an Australian Shepherd. She is the reason we started doing agility - she needed a job, very driven. We do mostly AKC, because that is what our local kennel club sponsors, but we have done some USDAA also. She has her Excellent and Excellent Jumpers titles, but would probably be on the world team if she were not stuck with me as her handler - I am definitely the weak link of the team, my first agility dog. We live between Indianapolis and Chicago so we a lot of trialing in IN, IL, OH, MI, and KY. We also go to Montgomery, AL once a year to see friends, and wouldn't you know it, there always just happens to be an agility trial that weekend, so we enter it. We would be there this weekend, except Gabbie has been out for a few months due to a shoulder tendon injury. I want to branch out a bit to other places just for a change -- if we're ever considering Atlanta we'll need to hook up and run Freeper Pairs! Have fun -- run clean, run fast!

She is ADORABLE!
I love the Aussies . . . so cute, especially the brown ones (yes, I'm partial to brown dogs)!
I started in agility because my dog needed a job too . . . she was in obedience and bored out of her mind (to tell the truth, so was I) and our trainer suggested "Maybe she'll be happier in agility." She was, of course, and so was I.
You be sure to let us know if you decide to trial in Atlanta - we'll run pairs together for sure (maybe we could wear matching FR T-shirts or something!) and we'll give you a warm Southern welcome.
Our local AKC clubs sponsor some four-day trials (ThFSatSun) and you can get a lot of points in a hurry. USDAA is slower, but I find it a lot more fun because of all the different events. For some reason, my girl has turned out to be a Snooker Specialist and has a handful of Qs . . . (don't know why . . . it requires that I think and that's not a good idea in the ring . . . < g > )

Trust a GSP to get into the makeup box!
She'd look better in a darker lipstick though . . . < g >

I'm not exactly sure how she got the lipstick, but the carpet in our den looks like someone was murdered right in the middle of the floor! :)
