I miss Muffin, she was my aunt's cat until my aunt got cancer and asked us a few day before she died to "Take care of Muffin." Muffin was born in Round Rock, Texas and she was a Texas cat all the way. She developed kidney problems at 14 and we kept her going for 2 and a half years. I would consider that a victory, but had she lived a month, she would have made it to 17. I'm glad for one thing, she passed away on July 9th, a day after my birthday. She held on, I think she knew how bummed I would be had she passed away on my birthday.

The calico, Pansy, she does have a hyperactive thyroid (common in older cats, well, she is 18 B-)) and left untreated, she could develop high blood pressure, blindless, weight loss, heart problems and molting of her fur but since we have her on meds, she is doing fine and gained a little weight back and acting like a kitten like she always has.
