One of the versions of legend says that it was the Ancient Greek scupltor Praxiteles, who brought blonde hair into fashion in the year 360 BC as he was working on the statue of Aphrodite.

They would moisten dark hair with donkey urine: it was believed that fair hair emphasized innocence and the divinity of those who had it.

Ancient Roman women would dye their hair with beech ashes and crocodile fat. If they had no crocodile fat, they had an alternative-goat fat.

Decolorizing elements back then had posionious substances that killed hair follicles. Ancient fashion addicts would grow bald because of the chemicals, they had to spend a lot of money on wigs.

Blondes have always been the rage everywhere, even when brunettes ruled the world of style at the beginning of the 20th Century. Fair haired people started symbolizing new life especially in the USA, where a blonde girl became one of the symbols of the 'American Dream.'

Fairy tale princesses are traditionally portrayed as blondes. Brown haired Norma Jean Dougherty became a global sex symbol when she dyed her hair and took on a new name--Marilyn Monroe.

Madonna launched her stunning career as she dyed her hair blonde and portrayed Marlyn in the 'Material Girl' video. Long hair becomes a lot more tempting and attracts lots more attention if its colored blonde or dyed platnium.

ME TOO! When I first saw my wife (we were just kids) I was working as a waiter I went up to this table where my future was sitting. She looked at me with these big brown eyes and in her southern syrup of a voice said "I'll just have Ice tea". Game over! Gimme dark hair, dark eyes and a sincere sweet smile over blond hair and a boob-job any day!!

Don't get me started on this one. I have seen guys heads turn when they see a just a glimpse of blonde hair. Many of these women upon a closer look have a face that could stop a clock and a body that needs Jake.

That said, a brunette has to have beautiful face and hair and if she has a knock-out body there is no contest. A good body will win no matter the hair color.
