He took that expertise to the NFL before anyone did aerobic, yoga etc and brought a lot of challenging maneuvers to the game -- nobody could jump over a linebacker better than he could.
I can tell you are not a football fan. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers doing their SuperBowl heydey, and is known for the "immaculate reception. A great, agile, graceful receiver, and is in the Football Hall of Fame.
