Lynn just gave a ringing endorsement of W on the convention floor.
Very impressive.

Remember what the knock on Bradshaw as a QB was?
To: gramho12
pretty clear you're not much of a fan either, as many other posters will be sure to tell you.
Franco Harris = immaculate reception

Good. I remember Lynn Swann in the recesses of my memories. I was very young during the Pittsburgh dynasty. Here in New England, we are enjoying our own now. It's about time.

OOoo...I wouldn't want Mr. Swann to hear you say that.

LOL I'm not young & I thought Lynn Swann was an aging actress. LC Greenwood's not a girl either.

I didn't know Nolan was Ryan's middle name. My youngest son's middle name is Noland. His first name is not Lynn.
I've heard of men called Len or Lenny (and Squiggy?) and thought it was short for Leonard.

Gotta love Lynn Swann........what memories he's given us. (Of course I hated him and Terry Bradshaw in the days when they cleaned the Oilers clocks in the "big game")*~*. I've seen Swann catch footballs that SHOULD be humanly impossible to catch, but he did it and did it beautifully!

However, I'm sure Terry Bradshaw does not like Bush. Bradshaw has ADD. Ironically, or maybe not, it was likely a contributing factor to his greatness as a QB.

One of the amazing receptions I've ever seen.

Hall of Fame wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers through their 4 Super Bowl wins. Swannee .... as Cosell used to call him.

That was a great team back then. I'm getting chills just thinking about it. Harris, Blier, Swan, Webster, Bradshaw, Lambert, Greene, Mazzilla, et.al.
I wonder how Rocky Blier feels about Kerry.

Did you have to show this catch??

Nope, you were right. Franco Harris was at a Kerry rally in Pittsburgh in April.

This is not a new thing. Swanny has been a staunch conservative patriot for decades, and has long
put his money where his mouth is.
Ironically, he's only donated to one rat, and it's been to Kerry's senate campaigns. Yikes! I guess that makes his endorsement of the President all the more meaningful.
To: martin_fierro
Swanee has his sh*t together. Everyone is cool in the 'Burgh!
And, ............ to really point that out............ Chuck Noll never did endorsements.
You want to know why? YOU, marrtin_fierro know the reason that Chuck did not...........because he wished that all the attention went to the PLAYERS.
It is a shame that my buddy, Chuck, never won the Coach of The Year Award!
He doesn't give a damn.
:-)
Yoi, double yoi!

Poor Hugh Hewitt will be saddened by this news...
A Pittsburg Steeler endorsing Bush?
Will he now have to at least say SOMETHING positive about the Steelers?
Will this finally lead to disclosure of the snappy yellow tux pictures?
Inquiring minds want to know!
