Pray for Truth to be Victorious!
I join in prayer for our heroes and their loved ones!
Heavenly Father, we return with thankful hearts for that great cloud of witnesses gone before, who remained faithful to the end. May it be, Merciful Father, that those witnesses to the truth of the history of Vietnam, will remain true to the end. Bless each Swift Boat Veteran and POW who has come forward, or who has given time or treasure, or who sought favor before the Throne of Grace, or who has given ear to the words of our Veterans ... may they be settled in their spirits, at last, that their dishonor has been turned to honor, and that they have prevailed in unmasking the truth of John F. Kerry. Let him stand revealed before the world, O God, and having been seen, may he be summarily rejected. In the Name of Jesus, the Christ, I pray, Amen ...
I am sending my daily prayers for the swiftees and all our brave servicemen and women.
Praying daily with you for the servants of our God.
Read: Jeremiah 17:1-10
He shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river. Jeremiah 17:8
Bible In One Year: Jeremiah 24-26; Titus 2
In the summer of 1992, a fire blackened 4,500 acres of forest about 35 miles north of Atlantic City. One homeowner saw a fireball with 60-foot flames come roaring up across the street from his house, before veering away. The Associated Press quoted him as saying, "I've worked 25 years of my life here. The thought of having it gone in 10 minutes makes you want to stay for the last possible minute."
The fire was difficult to contain because of dry conditions. The forest was dry despite rainfall, partly because of an insect called the pine looper, which defoliates trees.
The dry-tree condition behind this New Jersey fire has a parallel in the history of Israel. Jeremiah said that his countrymen had become like dry shrubs in a desert rather than green trees by a river (17:6-8). Even more alarming, he said they had aroused the fire of God's anger (v.4) by trusting in man and departing from the Lord (v.5). For Christians today, it's life's fiery trials that threaten to scorch our souls if we're trusting in our own strength.
Father, forgive us for making ourselves dry and leafless. Without Your mercy, we would be consumed when the heat comes. Teach us to root ourselves in the river of Your sufficiency. Mart De Haan
Today (Monday) is a nationwide Day of Prayer and Fasting...if anyone can participate for one meal today to fast and pray for the election and for the protection of our president and the salvation of our Republic, please do so. Some ideas on how to pray specifically today (from FReeper Blogger):
1)The Safety of all who are involved in this election (candidates and staff, workers, voters, etc.)
2)Swing state votes (Particularly: Ohio, Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Colorado, Hawaii, Wisconsin, New Mexico, and Arizona.) Pray that fraud would be discovered and conquered and that super-strong Bush turnout would be present [and weak Kerry turnout]. ;o)
3)Initiatives protecting marriage would be passed.
4)Taxes will not be raised so that the economy will continue to grow.
5) The infamous "undecideds" will break for Bush.
6) That the media will be under control and will be incapable of reporting false news that sways voters towards Kerry.
7)A complete lack of terrorist activity ANYWHERE on election day.
8)That "world leaders" opposed to Bush will be muzzled on election day.
9)The awakening and mobilization of the "Christian Right" of whom far too many stayed home in 2000.
10)And, if God wills it, a sizable margin for President Bush so that the left's plans for contesting results will be invalid.
11) PEACE & REUNIFICATION in this country after the election.
Amen Shezza..!
I will be making sure everyone I know gets out to vote..
Prayer is the key to everything.
Heavenly Father, we return with hearts filled with gratitude that You have allowed our beloved Veterans to remain steadfast in this second tour of duty for their country. Vindicate their stand for truth, O God, in the results of our national election tomorrow. Let their words continue to fall upon ears that hear ... may wisdom and discernment be upon the people as they vote ... may there be an overwhelming defeat of one who has defiled and defamed our military ... restore the honor to each Vietnam veteran that has long been denied, but which now can be reclaimed by the voice of the people. May it be thus, O God, may it be thus, in the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...
Joining you in grateful prayer for the protection and strengthening of our Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, and for all those who continue to stay the course through the battles leading up to the election!
Thank you for the reminder that today is a national day of prayer and fasting, shezza.
Thanks RC!
We will all have to discuss this thread after Bush wins tomorrow!
Good Morning Mayor and Prayer Warriors,

May their steadfastness be seen in the reelection of President Bush, by the grace of our Heavenly Father.
Good morning, Mayor. I give thanks to God for the goodness and courage of the Swift Boat Vets and all of our men and women in the military.
I join in prayer for our heroes and their loved ones!
Praying with you, dear brothers and sisters.
Read: Titus 3:1-8
Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work. Titus 3:1
Bible In One Year: Jeremiah 27-29; Titus 3
When the results of today's presidential election are known, US citizens will either be glad or sad, depending on their political persuasion. Those who voted for the winner are likely to accept the authority of the government he establishes. Most others will submit, though grudgingly.
Christians are to go beyond mere submission to governing authorities and follow the guidelines given in the Bible. In writing to Titus, Paul said we should also be peaceable and considerate, and we should do good without slandering anyone (3:1-2).
Titus was working among believers in Crete, a place notorious for its unruly inhabitants. There were good reasons to say bad things about the people living and ruling there, but Paul warned Christians not to do it.
In fact, seven times in his short letter to Titus, Paul mentioned the importance of doing good: loving what is good (1:8), teaching what is good (2:3), doing what is good (2:7,14; 3:1-2,8,14).
Paul's letter is a timely reminder that as Christians we are to do what is good for people, regardless of whether we approve of their values and agree with their policies. It may not be easy, but it's the right thing to do. Julie Ackerman Link
May God bless and strengthen the swiftboat vets.They have done everything they could to inform the public about Kerry.
May God bless us this day, may He have mercy on us and deliver us from evil. May He hold this nation in the palm of His hand and give us shelter under His wings.
*************
But as for me, I trust in Thee, O Lord, My times are in Thy hand.
Deliver me from the hand of my enemies,
and from those who persecute me.
Make Thy face to shine upon Thy servant;
Save me in Thy lovingkindness.
Let me not be put to shame, O Lord,
for I call upon Thee;
Let the wicked be put to shame, let them be silent in Sheol.
Let the lying lips be dumb,
Which speak arrogantly against the righteous
With pride and contempt.
How great is Thy goodness
Which Thou hast stored up for those who fear Thee,
Which Thou hast wrought for those who take refuge in Thee,
Before the sons of men!
Thou dost hide them in the secret place of Thy presence from the conspiracies of man;
Thou dost keep them secretly in a shelter from the strife of tongues.
Blessed be the Lord,
For He has made marvelous His lovingkindness to me in a beseiged city.
As for me, I said in my alarm,
"I am cut off from before Thine eyes";
Nevertheless Thou didst hear the voice of my supplications when I cried to Thee.
O love the Lord, all you His godly ones!
The Lord preserves the faithful,
And fully recompenses the proud doer.
Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
All you who hope in the Lord.
Psalms 31:14-24
