The Hobbit Hole V - Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
ecurbh

Posted on 12/11/2003 2:07:57 PM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Merry Christmas Morning All.

Back from our walk, some biscotti and coffee are in order; Samantha loves this weather. Pretty darn quiet around town, just a couple cars were seen. I think a fire would be nice.

Sam; that was quiet a movie, wasn't it. The spoiler thread has some interesting observations. Yes, a couple more viewings for me as well.

OT: coffee is always a good idea

300winmag: Thanks for posting the email. Seems the package arrived "neither early nor late, but at just the right time". Prayers for the nodules to be benign.

g'nad; that was a great pic of the family. The newboy sure seems to be growing, heck, he'll be in woods with you by spring. :-)

suziq, wow, you were sure up late, hope you're getting some shut eye.

hair; glad you were able to nurse ecurbh back to health. Have fun at the beach and toss giget a treat for us.

corin; loved the no elfs, the tree and pianer look great.

Ah, the biscotti has arrived;
syl

Carbide cannons were fun.
Now they're banned here in NY.
Supposedly dangerous.

Just finished my baking. Was going to make oatmeal scotchies but there's a big'ol mouse in the house- and he ate all the butterscotch chips, Well almost all- 3/4 of the bag. Grrr. So I made brownies instead and rolled the remaining scotchies into the batter. So brownies, choco chip cookies, and oatmeal raisin cookies all on pretty platters. Am taking a break before I start prepping dinner.

Heh....I'm just stubborn, I guess.

I was taught to cook in the "make it from scratch" school. I've never bought a box of Bisquick in my whole life.

True.
But lately I've had a habit of getting 'caught' with my experiments in theoretical humor.
Of course, it's kinda hard to keep things quiet when one drops turpentine on resublimed iodine crystals.
Roiling clouds of purplish smoke occur, and people tend to notice such things.
Got the great idea of doing that from one of James Herriot's books.

Well, your count for the week actually went down from 138 to 124 posts... but your weekly percentage went up from 5.13% to 5.87%. Everyone else was posting less too!

I do the "finger poke" method of typing.
My keyboard skills are suspect at best, execrable at worst.

I find it somewhat amazing that Wn was only really here for three days, and she still placed #6.

SO, it's aconspiracy then!
Everyone else posted less to drive my percentage upwards, I want a recount!
*chuckle*

Christmas shopping and last minute stuff probably why everyone's post count dropped.
Otherwise I'd be buried in there in comfortable minusculity.
