Except for the 2400 residents of SD County who lost their homes (52 in my community), today is back to normal. The skies are clear, the freeways are open, the kidlets are back in school and mail delivery will be normal. Firefighters continue to work hard but there are no structures in danger at this time.

Despite her own grief, Lori Roach comforts Ryan Ramirez, a friend and classmate of her daughter Ashleigh, who came Friday to the site of the Roaches' home in Valley Center bearing a rose. Ashleigh died in the fire. Her sister Allyson is in critical condition and brother, Jason, suffered second degree burns.

7:18 ---brushed teeth, put them back in mouth
8:49 ---finished organizing junk drawer next to kitchen phone
9:50 ---announced I will NOT seek re-election to the Senate

Yeaaaaayyyy! This will likely be another GOP pickup in Jeb Country!

CBS had a big party in NYC last night, too. CBS at 75...some of our favorites have aged a lot...others have had lots of makeovers...
