Not every scouting troop is completely out to lunch.
A good parent gets to know the individuals involved and goes from there.
Merely going by an organization’s reputation, especially when the organization is large, is not the best thing, especially if it involves significant amounts of action in loco parentis.

I’m sure that’s absolutely true. It’s like every SBC church isn’t completely messed up. But when you know some of the funds are going to be disbursed to HQ, and you know that HQ is doing the wrong thing, you have to decide if you want to support that. We err on the side of not supporting left-wing causes, whether a children’s organization or a church organization.
