We just closed on my mom’s house in a little over a week ago. It was vacant since May.
I hate that I had to sell my childhood home, but I worried while it was vacant. I don’t think I could handle renting it out as a short or long term rental.
I fully expect our daughter to sell our house when we check out.
She doesn’t live here, but 400 miles away.
Plus, it was built in 1961 so it’s way out of date, architecturally, and many new homes in the neighborhood make it look even older.
Plus, the lot is a large corner lot and could be split into two lots for a developer to get two new houses built once the old one is torn down............
