Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then lost in service with its new owners, it is only added as a loss of the original operator to avoid double listings. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it's not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

Why weren’t Su-35s vectored to intercept the drones?

They were busy showing off their flying skills and plane maneuverability at an airshow.

Only a despotic Zeeper would propose using the US-funded World Bank to use our own money against us for thwart the will of our representatives in Congress.

“A strategic win for the USA.”

A strategic loss. Stockpiles depleted. Petroleum stockpile gone. Treasury depleted. Perpetual war status. China emboldened. Hamas emboldened. Red Sea transport at risk.

Spending bill - No approval in the House, even if the Senate does.

Ukraine Seeks PR "Wins" as West Admits War May be Lost

Update on the conflict in Ukraine for January 21, 2024…

- As Ukraine and its Western sponsors continue losing the conflict strategically, Ukraine continues conducting military operations to win public relations victories;

- Ukrainian drone strikes on St. Petersburg and a Russian oil depot inflicted no tactically or strategically significant damage;

- Such strikes have demonstratably only galvanized the Russian population further behind Moscow and are admittedly aimed at encouraging the Ukrainian population to remain invested in the conflict;

- The US government has claimed that without further financial aid, Ukraine will decisively lose the conflict, omitting the fact that even with additional financial resources, the arms and ammunition Ukraine needs does not exist to be purchased and transferred to Ukraine in the first place;

- France has urged arms manufacturers to boost output, claiming to have switched to a “war economy mode,” despite the necessary prerequisites to do so not being met and France being unable to boost output without huge investments in both money measured in billions, and time measured in years;

- The fate of a Russian A-50 airborne early warning and control aircraft continues to remain at the center of Western commentary, specifically because of a lack of strategically significant developments in Ukraine’s favor on the battlefield. The fact that Western media admits the allegedly destroyed plane has already been replaced reveals how insignificant the incident is;

- The Western media continues promoting narratives of heavy Russian losses around Avdeevka, identical to narratives that preceded the fall of Bakhmut to Russian forces last year;

- While such narratives are meant to depict Russia as weak and failing, the relentless tidal wave of men and equipment would not be possible unless Russia possessed vastly superior means of raising manpower and military industrial output;

US is now “self sufficient” in petroleum (net exports vs imports). No thanks to the government, but because US oil producers have increased efficiency.

This news seems to not be getting around. I guess because its not a desirable talking point for either side - Dem enviros hate it, and Reps dont want to credit Biden for something good. But its so anyway.

The strategic petroleum reserve is a moot point under these circumstances. And its being refilled now in any case.

The US has also developed a large export market in LNG. And increased Nat Gas production accordingly.

The stockpile thats depleted in any significant way is 155mm artillery ammo, non-cluster munitions. There may be a problem down the road for GMLRS rockets and Patriot interceptors. The only ones that matter for Iran or China are the Patriots. The US still has vast stockpiles of equipment and ammo that it has no use for.

Hamas/Iran was “emboldened” because the admin is weak. It dribbled military aid to Ukraine because it could not make decisive decisions at all.

Here's a video of the "Cobra" maneuver. Very impressive.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/mZFr55IjHeE

The ruzzians claim the maneuver can defeat a missile attack.

Here's the limitations:

The maneuver would have to be perfectly timed.
The maneuver can only be performed at low altitude and at low airspeed.
The maneuver won't defeat a heat seeking missile.

The ruzzians had better find a way to shoot down the long range Ukrainian drones or 2024 will be a bad year for their industry, infrastructure, and revenue.

IMHO, SUUs and MiGs would be their best option.

Russia HAS suffered terrible casualties in Bakhmut.
The suffering that went into that burned out the corps-sized Wagner group, and drove its leaders to revolt.

And Russia seems to have used up its vast Soviet stocks of artillery ammo, especially 152mm.

The item of industrial output that matters most for this very costly style of war is artillery barrels and ammunition. Russia got a large supply of ammo from North Korea, and it seems to be cannibalizing 152mm barrels from mothballed artillery. Both are going to run out.

The beginning of 2024 becomes very productive for the @ServiceSsu Alpha division. In three weeks, they destroyed 19 tanks, 33 IFVs, 22 artillery systems, 3 MLRS, 5 air defense systems, and dozens of other occupier's vehicles and personnel.

This video shows the most spectacular destruction of russian equipment. Great job!

isn’t there one Patriot missile varient that goes up to 80K, locks on & dives down on the target? - if true, then no amount of maneuvering will help.

Back to the air show ...

Maybe they forgot to perform some months back when the Patriot battery got 3 of them.

Well, I am NOT American.
I COULD have been American, anytime in the last 40 years, but I chose not to be.
So hear this, from an interested outsider, with plenty of experience in the world - this rage, this hatred, is not not good. It is not holy, not ethical, not prudent, and not sane. It is sinful and can only lead to worse things. Look into yourself, go to confession if you are Catholic, and perhaps look into a retreat -

You need help.

ETCM might be able to answer definitively.

My guess is that all Patriot missiles can fly the profile you have described.

The profile flown by the Patriot missile is determined by the parameters of the target at missile launch.

If the target is well inside Rmax-2 (no escape), then the missile would immediately establish a collision course, lock on the target, and it's over.

If the target is at or near max range, then the missile would fly the max range profile.

Regardless of the profile, if the Patriot missile achieves a lock on, it's over.

ETCM...what say ye?

👍 Today's night attack on the sea terminal in the Russian city of Ust-Luz is a special operation of the Security Service of Ukraine.

This is confirmed by our sources. According to their data, the SBU drones worked well on target - the damage was precise, a large-scale fire started, which is still burning, and the Russians were forced to evacuate the employees.

"Oil terminal "Ust-Luga Oil" in the Leningrad region is an important object for the enemy. Fuel is processed there, which, in particular, is also supplied to the troops of the Russian Federation. A successful attack on such a terminal causes not only economic losses to the enemy, depriving the occupiers of the opportunity to earn money for waging war in Ukraine, but also significantly complicates fuel logistics for the Russian military," our source adds.

Clearly a highly successful attack.

Target intel deserves some of the credit.

DMPI...Desired Mean Point of Impact...what is DMPI?

The drones were programmed with specific DMPIs, to maximize damage.

DMPIs are determined by photo interpretation of satellite images and possibly by photos posted to the internet.

Regardless, DMPI selection is an important part of mission planning.

Whatever the reason, this is not good for you, personally.

When I was managing systems and projects (pre-retirement) I had to deal with stress reactions like this. Not many tools available to a US employer unfortunately. I would give non-vacation time off when I could, and urge taking no-contact vacations. I could not advise seeing a priest.

Me, I am the master of self control, but I gave myself, probably through stress related excess cortisol release, metabolic disorder, diabetes and a heart condition. Yeah, I couldn’t keep work responsibilities in context either.

But at the core its a spiritual issue.
