The person holding the gun is responsible for using it appropriately.
Not the manufacturer, not the seller.
Cars, tools, medicines, food etc. are supposed to NOT kill humans when used correctly.
Guns ARE supposed to kill in situations when it is necessary.
You can't apply the same laws to both.
The only time the gun manufacturer should be held responsible is for manufacturing defects when the gun explodes, fires when not supposed to or fails to fire when it should, despite good maintenance.

Just wait until a law is passed allowing the family of a person killed by a drunk driver to sue GM...Ford...Toyota,etc for their vehicle having been driven by the guy responsible.
