(vanity) How many of these podunk 3rd-world countries clamoring to join BRICS...

... are really just saying "We're done bleeding the U.S. dry -- let's get some cash now from China and Russia et al."? Do they just see another new source for handouts, now that U.S. has driven itself into impossible levels of debt?

This has been on my mind a lot lately. It took something like a decade for the EU to get its act together at the start -- and those countries, at least, had many things in common. I don't see how a BRICS-type arrangement can hold itself together for very long, with so many disparate cultures and varying levels of economic strength (or lack thereof) involved.

My gut tells me that China is planning to pull the wool over the economic eyes of these countries.

A friend of mine says the BRICS thing changes in 3-4 weeks (coming up)

I don’t know if that’s accurate though (?)

They shouldn’t bother - the chances of India, Russia, China, and Brazil ever agreeing on any matter are infinitesimal.

Egypt, Argentina, 80% of OPEC+, Mexico, Indonesia and China, Russia, Brazil, South Africa and India along with the Podunk nations. That sounds like the entire world minus the woke globalist perverts in the EU and Uniparty, DC.

BRICS is G7 for the “also ran” countries. It’s actually been around since 2010, we just only recently started paying attention. Basically when they started talking about making their own money we suddenly got interested.

If someone wants to cash in all their dollars for a currency based on the economies of Russia, Brazil and South Africa, good luck.

The 3-4 weeks is the timeframe when the BRICS are supposed to introduce a new currency to compete with the US Dollar, the currency is supposed to be backed by Gold.

The currency will be used as a reserve currency so countries could trade commodities instead of using the US Dollar.

If successful the new currency would become a major problem for the USA.

Bolivia, Thailand, Cuba, Algeria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Belarus,Honduras,Mexico, Kuwait, Morocco, Senegal, UAE, Vietnam, Venezuela, Argentina, Bangladesh, Nigeria,
Iran, Indonesia. Formally have applied.

Its gonna be fun in a few weeks to see who is officially accepted.

Brics has been contacted by over 40 countries and over half of them have submitted applications.

Brics accounts for 32% of global GDP and 40% of the global population.
They have a development bank and a contingency reserve arrangement to support members.

Dedollarization is already in full swing.

Argentina has been paying the IMF in yuan.

The strains of steep U.S. interest rate rises and sanctions that have frozen Russia out of the global banking system have seen a fresh push by the “BRICS” nations, Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, to challenge the dollar’s hegemony.

1. The west has taken advantage of these countries historically
2. The foolish US has weaponize the financial system against countries
3. Countries don’t have friends, they have common interests
4. The uS and others western nations are in decline and debt

Seems nice for them to think ahead.

You forgot the most important part: good luck cashing them in, we're broke and were our Government ever stupid enough to try printing their way to paying them out, the entire world's economy would crash beyond the point of repair.

So good luck with that.

Forgetting other elements in the protests in Selma and Montgomery in our own history, one reads an interesting detail:
"For nearly a year, buses were virtually empty in Montgomery. Boycott supporters walked to work--as many as eight miles a day--or they used a sophisticated system of carpools with volunteer drivers and dispatchers. Some took station-wagon "rolling taxis" donated by local churches.

Montgomery City Lines lost between 30,000 and 40,000 bus fares each day during the boycott. The bus company that operated the city busing had suffered financially from the seven month long boycott and the city became desperate to end the boycott.

Source: https://www.nps.gov/articles/montgomery-bus-boycott.htm

The bluster of "let them go" and the like ignores "costs." As you observe, "Brics accounts for 32% of global GDP and 40% of the global population."

The question is one of doing business. If trade is conducted in "other than the dollar," there will be an effect which will be measurable. To what degree, one probably cannot calculate accurately in the moment.

But a recent "boycott," which Annheuser-Busch thought would blow over, has not. Additionally, one reads of EVs sitting on car lots and in showrooms. "Cutting the cable" and similar behavior have changed things in a very observable manner. And the anti-Russian sanctions packages, number now twelve (?), are impacting the EU nations in ways not foreseen. To think "it can never happen" is a poor plan, when "it" happens.

In the case of the Montgomery bus line above, it took seven months to have the effect desired by some and rejected by others. But it happened. And how much has Budweiser lost in terms of market share?

Regards.

I don’t think most people have any idea what Dedollarization is and how much it will affect the economy.

A very valid point.

In 22 years, our fine, enlightened political leaders have amassed more than a trillion dollars MORE in debt each year. As Stein's Law, "it will stop."

How is anyone's guess. But those fine, enlightened political leaders probably can;t be counted on to be enlightened, and they certainly aren't fine. Regards.

After the West completes its suicide in energy and food production, what percentage of those commodities will BRIChinaS produce?

What is uniting them and bringing peace arrangements is our past treatment of them.

Additionally Brics has a strong commitment to a ‘live and let live’ policy.

Unlike the US...we tell them how to dress, what to eat, and how many genders to have.

Belarus has a sign on one of the highways entering their country that says
“Our children can tell the difference between mother and father”

“Our ‘dictatorship’ does for the people more than your ‘democracy’.

I feel like the BidenDepression 2023 or Spring, 2024 will kick in (during that time period - between September 2023 to Spring, 2024)

But I’ll freely admit that’s just my own conspiracy theory 🤣🤣🤣 - I have no proof

But 3-4 weeks puts us into September, 2023 so when I heard that from my friend it got my attention (a little bit)

it’ll be a real SHTF and will destroy the middle class, which is probably the intent of the globalists pushing our current course of action
