There isn't any mention of the various executive departments that have grown up over the years. Nothing about the CIA, NSA, FBI, or any of the other agencies. So where do they derive their power to "classify" anything? Doesn't that power derive entirely from the President, in whom all executive power is vested, as Madison put it?
How can a regulation of an agency which derives all of its authority from the President presume to regulate his behavior in any way? The archivist has a bunch of rules about the handling of presidential records, but again, that's an executive department, which, the constitution seems to think derives from the office of the President.
Oh, right, there's the presidential records act that congress passed. I do seem to remember though something about this notion of a separation of powers, which up to this point meant that Congress couldn't steal power from the executive, but maybe for Trump we're willing to make an exception.
The theory behind this case is that the permanent bureaucracy, aka the Deep State should have the power to decide what secret documents of theirs the elected President should be "allowed" to share with the people who elected him, or at least dictate the process that he has to follow if he wants to share information that the Deep State would prefer remain hidden. That's nonsense. We might as well set fire to the Constitution and admit that the Republic has fallen, if this indictment is to be taken seriously.
Pence knows this. He's a part of the problem, and we can be thankful that he's self-identified so clearly.

I think these fools all think that if Pres Trump is somehow ushered off the stage, that the Republican voters will frantically be searching for a savior.
What absolutely none of them realize that if, God forbid, Pres Trump is out of the race, I can confidently say that so are MOST of his supporters. I’m one of them. If it isn’t Pres Trump, it isn’t anyone for me.
Folks like to talk about how 2020 was stolen. How 2022 was stolen.
Pres Trump’s entire tenure was stolen. First by the Republicans in Congress, who then did nothing to stop Democrats from taking the House and then the Senate. His entire 4 years was, for the most part, on defense. All the Republicans campaigned on the same exact thing: cutting taxes, smaller and less intrusive government, immigration, getting rid of the ACA.
They gave him his tax cuts, after that they did nothing. Actually the same as the Dem’s did Soetero. He got the ACA, after that nothing. The YUGE difference was, Pres Trump actually wanted to do things to help the American people, Soetero wanted the White House version of Soul Train with Beyonce.
There might be a few folks that will cling to anyone left is Pres Trump is gone, but not many.

I highly doubt that. The well-funded, well-entrenched election fraud system in this country and abroad, wasn't going to let Trump get re-elected no matter what.
I apologize in advance to all Freepers who are former Marines. It seems to me that some of the WORST traitors in the first Trump administration - Kelly, Mattis, and this dweeb Pence - are ALL former Marines. I would not have expected this.
