Trump was the pioneer at least, in a way that few before have dared. Certainly he didn’t go far enough, but he made some progress and certainly ripped the mask off of them. It’s easy to forget just how vigorously he was opposed from all quarters, including internally from “his own” agencies.

Besides Trump was a newbie politician, having never held any office before. He mis-understood the width and depth of DC swamp.
Career politicians get filthy rich in DC on gov’t salary. Look at Biden, he is a multi-millionaire having never ran a business or held a high level job in private sector. 95% of career politicians are rich. WHat does that tell you?
