Yes. The GM theories are speculation but we know based on history that reemergence of an ice age will in fact happen. Maybe some warming will help us when that occurs.
Great list!
Because the readily available facts were not supporting their premise.
Average global temperatures were rising. The new weather satellite data was confounding their theories.
They had not yet developed their technique to make any confounding events or data sets regardless of type or severity fit their models by simply saying that it does.
If we had a record low average temperature for this winter it is because of Global Warming.
Record snow falls in Southern California, well that was caused by Global Warming.
No hurricanes this year; Global Warming. Record number of hurricanes this year; Global Warming.
If there can be no possible data to prove you wrong you are always right.
I remember that.
At the time I thought it a good idea. I was a young teenager.
But now an old fart I think about details.
The Greenland Ice sheet is 660,000 square miles. I can't imagine the amount of coal that it would take to cover that much surface.
A light dusting would not work because the particles will just melt a short distance into the ice and no longer be exposed to the sun and the effect stops.
About the only theory I remember that might actually work is space mirrors and some idiot suggested that again to lessen Global Warming.
Thanks! Maybe climate hoaxers hold the true claim to ‘world’s oldest profession.’
Noah was probably pestered by “experts” claiming “endless drought for the foreseeable future.”
Note that the temperatures now are actually lower than the highest temperatures in the previous 4 interglacials, and that the CO2 concentration follows the temperatures, it doesn't cause them.
And in the early 70’s we actually had a day hit 90 in January - in Rochester....
It really is pretty simple. Warmth nurtures. Cold kills. Still confusing, of course, for people who believe someone with a penis and testicles is prone to menstrual cramps during his period.
I’m betting that was about 1980/81? I saw The Who/Clash/George Thorogood & Desroyers/Prince (WTH ??) at the LA Coloseum then when I was finishing college.
I believe it was 1983. At the end of my second year/summer in college.
I had seen The Who at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse(50m) about six months previous. Then they came to Rich Stadium(80m) with The Clash in the early summer.
