I believe Russia has an appetite for conquest and expansion, as it has shown throughout its history (that’s how empires are created). Is Putin stupid enough to attack a NATO country? That’s a good question. But the fact is he has hinted at it, and some in the Russian government as well as some of his allies have been more forthcoming about it. But, that might just be the bluster of a bully.
I do not think Putin is suicidal, and attacking NATO would be suicide for Russia. I do think he’ll go after Moldova, though. And he may turn his attention back to Georgia and even the ‘stans.
But, he has been appearing somewhat irrational lately; so, who knows?

No, you’re not. You have been very pro-Russia throughout this war, and have denied or ridiculed any positive aspect of Ukraine in its fight against the invader.
You still have not answered my question, which I have asked at least twice: Do you live in Russia now?
I don’t think Putin is stupid enough to attack a NATO country. But, who knows?
But, that just reinforces the reason for NATO, doesn’t it? Former Soviet bloc countries and former Soviet SSRs clamored to join NATO when they became independent or shed of the Russian Bear because they KNEW first-hand what Russia was all about, and they wanted no repeat performance.
I suppose they are tired of losing. But some have crossed the line into hatred and hysteria.
Wittingly or unwittingly it’s FUD (Fear, uncertainty and doubt) gaslighting in the service of mass murdering Kremlin filth. Russia is after all the country that invented Fake News and the Potemkin village. They live and breath for this type of manipulation. There is nothing we can do about the political fringe crazies but solid conservatives should know better than to take the Kremlin’s bait.
Moscow and Russian trolls will claim they are winning the war, for spending a year to take 100 square kilometers.
Ukraine will wait for them at the defense lines they spent last year building.
