No wonder so many people are moving to Florida, some say it's an Urban Legend others say it's the real thing, my first reaction was LOOFAHS, really ?? For years I've heard the Villages in Florida is a retirement community where anything goes for those inclined to partake, evidently now the swingers have a system to indicate who and what they are into. Personally, I may never buy a loofah again.

Ironically, I had a black and blaze orange one last year, but now use a Japanese bath cloth that does an even better job, and doesn’t fall apart.

It is if you have no mortgage on your home and have owned it for years.
Cash in on 200-300k or more in equity and move to Florida and pay cash for a new house with a pool in the Villages and hang loofahs on your golfcart in every color of the rainbow.
I had never heard about this until my son was egging me about sending me there for my later years. He is gathering loofahs so he can be ready to fling me out the car.
Must have been a slow week in The Villages, or else this is one of those urban legends.
Visited my sister and BIL down there a few months back for nearly a week. Saw about a zillion golf carts, along with regular cars of course, didn’t see a single loofah. YMMV of course, but it’s viewed as kind of a joke down there, at least among my sister and her friends.

Maybe your relatives don’t partake of that lifestyle, it’s likely a minority of the people down there riding around with loofah’s on their vehicles advertising what type of swinger they are, assuming it’s true at all.
On a similar note, most people could care less what your ‘preference’ is (as long as it is not children). Just don’t do the in-your-face broadcasting, YOU have to accept and celebrate me crap. I used to joke about preferences ‘should I tattoo blonde hair - blue eyes on my forehead?’
Typing the ‘except children’ part above made me sick, and now I want to buy a new keyboard.

I live in The Villages and can state as fact this article is complete bs. The Villages is a very conservative place and the media is always trying to tarnish us. Like the two movies they put out, all lies. Check out The Villages online, lots of good info and live cams.

We get so many articles posted on FR that lead to major arguments, this one made me laugh, it’s all in good fun, whatever anyone is trying to do to make the Villages look bad isn’t working considering how the place is growing.
If it doesn’t pertain to how you live, ignore it and life your life.

Give me a break. With all the golf-carts etc. having something to make it easier to find is a no-brainer.
