The linked article is wrong on all counts. Also, it does not bother to provide a working link to the Associated Press's debunking of the film. Too bad, I was interested to see an example of leftist propagandists actually telling the truth.

After my first viewing, I thought 2000 Mules was probably a slick con job, mostly because of the confirming evidence that D'Souza and True the Vote failed to provide. After my third viewing, I was certain of it.

Here's a copy of part of my most recent FR post on the subject:

2000 Mules describes the biggest conspiracy in the history of American politics. Had the conspiracy been real, it would have been leaked before the 2020 election, long before the film was released. It is hard to keep a conspiracy between three people private. It is impossible to keep a conspiracy private between thousands of people. People, including mules and nonprofit employees, talk to their friends, romantic partners, etc. They in turn talk to others.

The thousands of mules had to be vetted, hired, and paid. Were they offered dental plans? What a joke!

Management in the non-profits knew they could never get away with hiring thousands of mules, however much they wanted to defeat Trump. If some of the mules turned state's evidence and testified against them in court, that would be the end of those nonprofits. That's why the nonprofits did not hire thousands of mules.

It never happened.

You are full of crap. What was documented in 1000 mules is SOP for corrupt elections in some of those areas just turned up to 11. There were rumbles of this happening (see the Project Veritas video around that time) but it usually happens at low levels that get ignored. Republicans were actually barred from making complaints by a stupid court settlement some years ago based on a discrimination claim.

The worst accounts of what was done in that election was actually contained in their own bragging afterwards. The Time magazine article about their actions to “fortify” our democracy was pretty damning. The problem is that too many people on the courts, prosecutors’ offices, SoS offices and local election offices just don’t care or actively support what was done.
