Wolf, actually, with the lamb It's so weird how the wolf came to be mistaken for the lion in popular culture. Now the Lion of Judah, that's a different story, and I don't think I'd want to be around when the seals are dealed.

My guess is because Jesus Christ is both Lion and Lamb they somehow got conflated over time

2000 years ago, there were different animals roaming the Earth, some of which may be extinct now.
Given the above, and since the Bible required translation, many of these terms may not be accurate as we read them today.
Never underestimate humanity’s ability to impart their own interpretation into a translation.
