“That’s the way the Prescott area operates. You ask for help and people come through.”

This reminds me of story I saw on one of the cold case shows called “The Woman in the Box.”
Back in the 70’s a murdered woman was found in a box in a rural area. No id, no missing persons report, nothing. Not wanting her to be forgotten the community raised the funds for a grave, casket and headstone.
Meanwhile elsewhere detectives were investigating the disappearance of a man’s wife but got nowhere. Twenty years later the woman’s brother in law came forward and said he saw his brother and father building a box in the shed about the time the wife disappeared. When he asked what the box was for his brother told him it was “none of his business” and his dad told him it was “better if he didn’t know.” When police asked him why it took him so long to give the information he only said “daddy is dead now and I can clear my conscience.”
The Lady in the Box turned out to be his sister in law who had been killed by her husband.

It’s stories like those little town Ohioans and the one out of Prescott,AZ that give me hope that all isn’t lost.
Good on ya Prescott!

The family’s spokesman, a sister’s son, is unsure whether the remaining family members want to reintern Sharon or keep her in Prescott.
