Brad Raffensperger sparked a major conversation when he suggested a Constitutional Amendment to ensure that only United States citizens are voting in election, a chat that referenced New York recently allowing over 800,000 noncitizens access to vote in local minor elections.

Raffensperger, Georgia's Republican Secretary of State, is up for re-election and targeted Democrats who continuously make claims about voter suppression, rejected that notion and defending his state of Georgia by saying, during an interview on "Face the Nation," the following: "I think that we have shown that Georgia has fair and honest elections..."

He didn’t seem to be much worried about it in the last election.

“Brad Raffensperger sparked a major conversation when he suggested a Constitutional Amendment to ensure that only United States citizens are voting in elections”

Well, duh.

Damned shame it’s had to come to this.

Leave it to this moron to want something redundant to try and fool people into thinking he’s a tough guy.

Seems like it should be obvious. Are we going to need another amendment that says you can only vote once? How about an amendment that you have to be a human to vote?

Not Necessary, just make it a Death Penalty Offense to engage in a concerted or organized effort with one or more persons to commit Voter Fraud or Election Fraud of Any Kind.

Excellent post. Raffensperger should be toast this election. If he’s not, you’ll know they’re still rigged.

Raffensperger is as dirty as they come.

He’s only trying to appear clean now that True The Vote has got the goods on him.

How about focusing on only letting legally registered voters vote in the legally authorized manner, and making sure those votes are counted legitimately, as defined by the legislature?

Nah, that’s too much, better distract everyone from that with some hubbub about non-citizen voters because of something New York did that has zero affect on Georgia.

“... allowing over 800,000 noncitizens access to vote in local minor elections.”

That’s how they end up with the trash that they do.

If I heard it correctly, the law that the mayor of New York City just signed will allow people to vote in local elections when they have lived in New York City for 30 days. If that is true, that would mean that every foreign student, including from China, who’s been in the US for 30 days will be allowed to vote.

Of course just as non-citizens who already vote in places like California with the default of voter registration when getting a drivers license, 30 day residents who vote will Just say, the first time they get caught ( if they ever get caught) …. Oops I misunderstood. I got the ballot in the mail….. There will be no penalty. Dems win by cheating.

Hmm ... Raffy seems to be trying really hard to restore his goodwill amongst conservaties. Maybe he’s attempting to get ahead of some news coming down the road.

I certainly hope that GA voters never hear any rumors that Raff could have issues with syphilis, bathhouse dues, and child porn...
