The virtue-signalers at ESPN were having a field day with this story. And of course we know that NONE of them ever made a sexist, bigoted, or homophobic comment in their lives.
A couple of years ago I reminded my liberal sister that in the past she had used the expression "flaming fag," and she vehemently denied it, but I remember it clear as day.

They rapped out loud to millions of people (homophonic, misogynistic, degrading, cop killing, racist) lyrics ten times worse than anything Gruden wrote in emails and considered private (albeit stupidly).

Anyone who doesn’t think this was personal by Goodell isn’t paying attention. The league leaked the first email and when it didn’t produce the desired effect leaked more. He’s an ahole no question and his comments weren’t survivable. But it was still a hit.
One can only imagine what they’d find in half a million emails from ANY team.
