Surveillance: Defeating the Compound Eye
The Houston Courant ^ | 5/22/2021 | J.A.

So far as I know, an author known as Z Man at an independent blog called Z Media coined the term “The Compound Eye” in a post of the same name. In his lexicon, the compound eye is a metaphor for the millions of surveillance cameras and other intrusive devices Big Tech and their cohorts have dreamed up to keep us all in line. And the metaphor is a good one at that. If we are going to resist these intrusions and regain some measure of privacy, we are on our own. Looking to Big Tech and our government to preserve our privacy is like asking a burglar how best to secure our valuables. Most haven’t recognized the size of the problem yet, but as people become more aware and more concerned, increased efforts in the private sector may develop new ways to conceal our identities. Quite possibly, our best hopes may rest in American innovation and creativity.

On June 16, 2019, in testimony before the United States Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Dr. Robert Epstein, Senior Research Psychologist, American Institute for Behavioral Research and Technology, stated, “In 2016, biased search results generated by Google’s search algorithm likely impacted undecided voters in a way that gave at least 2.6 million votes to Hillary Clinton.” Dr. Epstein went on to say his study involved more than 13,000 election-related searches across a broad spectrum of U.S. citizens.

Over the years, Dr. Epstein has investigated the subliminal effects of opinion switching caused by Google-generated search results and believes the exercise of Big Tech opinion manipulation poses a serious threat to our democracy. The tools and techniques for manipulating and controlling information are only likely to grow more sophisticated and effective.

Just so we are clear, Dr. Robert Epstein, Senior Research Psychologist, American Institute for Behavioral Research and Technology is NOT the same Epstein that DID NOT hang himself while in Federal Custody while on suicide watch.

“The Houston Courant was created as an alternative to the “mainstream” publications in the City of Houston. Our values are free speech, liberty, and commerce for all. “

For which we salute you!

However, if you sign up with Free Republic and you are a blogger and you decide post your blog here at Free Republic It is good etiquette to post the entire article not just an excerpt. (I.E. Do not use F.R. to post links to your Blog to solicit donations that compete with FreeRepublic’s own need to raise funds from Freepers to survive!)

I did not check to see if you donated lately but someone will probably be along directly to discuss that with you.

I'm utterly certain there are artificially intelligent programs like 'The Machine' from the "Person of Interest" show surveilling and processing everything. It helped, along with NSA's cell phone trackers, find nearly everyone who attended the January 6th protest at the Capital so this illegal usurping regime could arrest and hold "insurrectionists" in violation of their Constitutional rights.

But no one admits the antifa/BLM thugs were there perpetrating most of the actual crimes. Goes against official narrative.

There might be other reasons to come to KC. That would be a good reason to stop at the gas station for a Z-man sandwich!

I say forget the deep fried onion rings and put that brisket and provolone on toasted rye and add some smokey barbecue sauce — just a touch.

KC. Easy to take the rings off and have them on the side!

A good sandwich!

Truthfully, after I posted I toasted some 15 grain, put provolone on both slices and put slice medium roast beef with Maul’s Barbecue sauce and then nuked it for 20 seconds to make sure the cheese melted. I know, I know, what is a KC guy doing using a St. Louis sauce. It is just what I have in the fridge at Sunrise Beach — I used it on chicken. Honest — only chicken.

I am good with Gate’s regular or Jack Stack’s sauce on beef all the time.

The next time through stop by KC Joes and get a 1/2 gallon bottle of sauce!

Go to the one in Leawood or Olathe! Really long lines at the original site in KCK! The parking lot is filled with license plates from New York and Ohio, Colorado and Georgia, and I have even seen them from Onterio!

(How do you like Sunrise beach?)
