The United States Is the Only Country Among Developed Nations Keeping Children Home from School

The US is the only nation among our peers that is keeping our children home from schools.

Dr. Scott Atlas held a presser in Florida and he claimed the following:

“We are the only nation among our peer nations that are hysterical about opening schools…the only country that seems to be willing to sacrifice our children out of our own fear”

Of course the doctor is right. Most Americans have little to worry about when it comes to the China coronavirus – COVID-19. The CDC reports that very few children have died from the virus since it came to US shores earlier this year.

CDC

Per the chart above, children have had very few deaths related to the COVID-19. As we reported some time ago, children are at a higher risk of dying from car crashes or drowning than from COVID-19.

More Children Die from Car Crashes and Drowning Each Year than Coronavirus — But Teachers Want to Keep Schools Closed

It is time to open up all of our schools – if we love our children this is what we’ll do.

Yes. My children are in the bluest area (SF Bay Area) of the bluest state (CA) in the only developed nation still keeping children from being educated.

It’s awful. My two teens have no sports, no “live” friends (at least at “school”), no music, no drama, no in person education. It’s tragic and inhumane and I feel guilty for staying here. I pray daily that we will meet our tyrannical governor’s new “criteria” for reopening—now 4-7 new cases per 100K for 21 days. I think we are on day 2. It seems we are always on day 2.

That’s the only criteria—he dropped deaths and hospitalizations and hospital capacity because too many counties were meeting the old criteria.

Teachers unions suck; CA sucks (except for the weather and wineries and natural beauty).

“They say that like it’s a bad thing.”

I remember when Republicans were for Home Schooling and Democrats were against Home Schooling.

You pray daily you can send your kids to a private school instead of a school system run by a tyrannical government right?

One of my teens IS in a private Christian HS, the other on is in public. BOTH PRIVATE AND PUBLIC SCHOOLS are kept closed by our tyrannical governor.

Put them all in private if you can. That same government is brainwashing kids, that is why we have Antifa and BLM today.

I think the public schools being online in SC is a blessing, the parents are forced to pay attention to what is being taught. They get to see their kids taught to be shame of their race and etc.

The children attend school either once or twice a week the rest is online.

The children are pawns, being used to keep the parents from going back to work to keep the economy from rebounding before the election.

The teachers want the schools closed, because they don’t want to work and it’s an election year.

LOL “developed nations”. The UN came up with that phrase when the USSR went away to describe industrialized nations of the first and second worlds—except for Red China, of course, which is still a “developing nation”.

I agree that the “hybrid” solution (some in person, some online) is better than 100% online.

My senior boy is staying in public because he’s just finishing out his HS career. He only needs 2 more classes to graduate—and we discussed him just getting his GED and enrolling in (online) community college but he opted to just stick with his HS courses.

My daughter wanted to switch to private Christian school anyway, regardless of when/if the public schools return this year, and so we consented and she did. I don’t think the public high schools will return—even after the election! The public school unions in CA are far, far too strong. And public school teachers are the largest voting block. Kids don’t vote, and so no one cares if they aren’t in school. . .except parents, who don’t vote as much as teachers.

My wife is a principal at a Catholic elementary school. They offered in person and online options. 85% of the parents chose in person. Meanwhile. almost all public schools in our area are online only.

My grandson is at a private school in CA. The school got a waiver to open and in person classes start on the 9th. All of the teacher live on campus and when everyone returns to school it will become a bubble.
My granddaughters in San Clemente are totally online.
My 2 grandsons here,in MA, don’t start until the 22nd and still have no idea what to expect.

Yes, private K-5 schools can and do get waivers from our tyrannical governor. Public K-5 haven’t bothered to apply for waivers since they are controlled by the unions of course.

And no middle or high school—public or private—can even apply for a waiver.
