I guess that you are not aware that search engines make their money off of your usage.
And that's a problem why exactly?
You hate capitalism?
You figure they should be giving hand jobs out behind the chicken place or what?
I am have never figured out why you are tolerated here on FR. You add NOTHING to any discussion and you have probably driven off several people. Don’t bother replying. I can already imagine what infantile, phallic humor it will involve.
So why post to me then? Is you dumb?
I am have never figured out why you are tolerated here on FR.
Then you "am have" either no sense of humor or you "am have" a stick up your butt.
You add NOTHING to any discussion
What would you like for me to add? Don't be shy.
you have probably driven off several people
Man, I hope so. We've had some prickleheads around here over the years.
Have a nice day, wash your hands.
We’re talking about tracking. Duh!
And that harms you some kind of way?
Today I asked my phone where the hell the Kroger’s with the inspection stickers was.
It gave me an answer that was NOT in Uganda.
How do you think that happens?
I don’t know. Tell me.
The device has to know where I am in order to tell me where other things are in relation to me.
How that harms me, I got no idea.
The other vehicles on the road also know where I am.
Is that a problem too?
For example, here is a perfect example, searching for "who funds antifa and blm organizations" in Google vs duckduckgo.
Open each of the following links with pre-selected search engines in a new (separate) window, and compare the results.
https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=who+funds+antifa+and+blm+organizations
https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffsb&q=who+funds+antifa+and+blm+organizations&ia=web
Interesting note for the technicians: I used Firefox as my browser in the above searches. Just for laughs I opened Google Chrome browser, opened google.com, and did a google search on "who funds antifa and blm organizations" (without the quotes) and this is the URL for the google search.
WOW! I have a powerful hunch that all that extra crap has everything to do tracking and enhancing the ultimate control Google is exercising on all of us. I recommend NEVER using Google.com as a beginning point for anything.
My favorite search engine is duckduckgo.
You can do this for any search you like. Just open two browser windows (any browser), type the search argument in each, and select whichever search engine you want to use.
humblegunner, you seem to be a troll. In any case, I doubt you will win much support in this argument.
Oh, I see. It can be a good thing or a bad thing! Like most everything technical.
The really serious problem with google search is obvious when comparing the duckduckgo search results with the google search results.
Google's extreme censorship eliminated every one of the first 17 results shown by duckduckgo, at least within the first 50 hits by google. Even more obvious is the far left political bias in almost every single hit produced by google, compared the the clear relationship to the search question in all the duckduckgo hits.
I recommend you review both sets of search results to confirm my points.
Well I guess THAT'S settled, huh? No denying the power of your hunch.
humblegunner, you seem to be a troll.
Oh noes! He called me a name!
I doubt you will win much support in this argument.
Was I supposed to be doing that?
Go soothe yourself, gramps.
